Joy of Love day 26: Bromance
Those of you that don’t live near your best friends know how difficult it is to get a picture with your bestie. Steve has many bromances going on but on this day we weren’t around any of those guys. Being in the military can take a toll you when it comes to making new friends and then being uprooted from them. The great thing about military friends are they are more family than they are friends. They are the ones that you can call on anytime of day, bring you food when you are sick, drive you to the airport, or just check on you when your husband is away. Steve and I both have friends all over the world. Since I wasn’t able to get a picture of Steve and his bestie I thought about the next best thing. These two are the best of friends. Gavin lights up when Jackson is around and Jackson will do just about anything to get Gavin to smile. Lately when Gavin is upset Jackson, in his sweetest voice will say, “It’s okay Gavin. I’m right here.” Surprisingly that works. I know that these two will learn the heartache of leaving friends as they get older but I hope that they will always have each other to fall back on.
